Weapon/Combat Proficiency: Skilled with long swords, and plate armor. Generally viewed as a skilled tactician.

Weaknesses: Prideful, thinks he can not be beaten in a fair fight.


Personality:
Greatest Desire: To make a name for himself outside that of his family.
Greatest Fear: To die alone and unknown, exactly as his father said he would.
Greatest Secret: He feels responsible for Ethan’s death. Ethan died after falling down some stairs. (Big secret)
Greatest Regret: Not killing his father before he left Crossgrove.

Flaws:
The lie I tell myself: I am nothing like my father.
What I think I want is: To be famous. A lover.
What I actually need is: To be known for something other than my last name. Someone to truly love me beyond my last name and the money it might carry.

Things they work toward or want (prioritized):
Bond 1: Make a new friend.
Bond 2: Make enough gold to pay off the loans the duchy has extended over the years..
Bond x 2: See the world, all the famous places that the old stories talk about.
Bond x 5: Make his father admit that Jax was not a mistake. Jax was wanted all along.

Where was your character born: Jax was born in the Fort of Crossgrove
Who are your character’s family (parents/siblings/etc): Father’s name is Ray. Mother’s name is Selene (Both long deceased) Two brothers: Hector (Older, disliked.) Ethan (older, dead)
What was your character doing before joining the Order: Before joining the Order Jax was the third born son of a wealthy merchant in the town of Crossgrove. He had no real obligations to his family and enjoyed the physical lifestyle presented by the military and signed up at 12, as soon as he was able to do so.
Why did they leave that life: Jax was abused and often neglected by a father who thought highly of himself and little else.
What is your character’s favorite item/belonging and where did they get it: Following Ray’s death Jax received his inheritance, a single gold coin stamped with the Duchy seal on one side, and a letter which explained that Jax was not to receive any further help from his family’s company. Hector would inherit all of the company’s assets. The letter it seemed was intended as an insult which was later returned when the company and its assets were seized by the county.
Who or what did they leave behind: The only person left behind who cared for Jax was a heartbroken mother, Selene. His mother died under mysterious circumstances a few years later.
Why did your character become the class that they are: Jax always enjoyed fighting and the physicality of combat as a child. As a result of that and an effort to be as unlike his father as he was able, Jax joined the Order to become a warrior, and leader of men.
Life Events:
Positive childhood event: Leaving the confines of his father’s household.
Negative childhood event: Ethan’s death. Ray blamed Jax for the event when it was more likely a result of the older boy’s poor coordination.
Positive teenage years event: Jax leading his band of warriors into their first successful raid on an enemy village. They suffered a few losses but supped on Elk and Wine that night. This was the battle for Crossgrove, a defining moment in Jax’s young life.
Negative teen event: Losing his second in an ambush. The man died honorably but the loss scars Jax still.
What’s your character’s view on the world:
Jax sees the world as a place for personal growth and discovery. He is very much interested in pushing his own limits in an effort to grow, he thinks the world as a whole is the only place where people can find who they truly are.
Jax thinks the world is a raw ball of clay to be molded into something better,
Jax distrusts most people, especially those who claim to love others. He sees most people as liars and slugs.
Jax isn’t interested in politics so much, he thinks the world would be better off without the pompous assholes like his father. If everyone took care of themselves the world would be better off.
What is their religious view:
Jax, like most Brudvir, is a believer of reincarnation and the Faedin. Unlike most other Brudvir however Jax doesn’t go communing with nature.
Jax follows most tenets of the Faedin religion.
Jax will not kill an unarmed person (Does not apply to beastfolk) but he is more than willing to disable them.
Jax has a fear of heights and falling in general.
What does your character want/goals:
Short term: To pay back loans from the duchess.
Long term: Jax wants to make a name for himself, that does not involve his father’s house or money.
